I have been wanting to dye my own cheesecloth for sometime so I decided to buy a few different grades and test the quality.
The far left is the grade 10 cheesecloth that you can typically find at Walmart, Craft Stores, etc. As you can see its much more gauze like and does not hold up as well.
The middle is the 50 grade cheesecloth. It is a huge different from the 10 and I would be happy to use this as a wrap. Much thicker, holds up better.
This is 90 grade cheesecloth. Although the 50 was good and I would use this in most cases to make wraps for the look I am drawn to. I like the thicker more fabric type feel and thickness to the 90 grade cheesecloth.
For me personally, I will avoid using the 10 grade again unless there was a specific look I was trying to achieve. Anything from the 50 and up works well and will look good in my opinion if you are at DIY cheesecloth wraps. Links to different grade cheesecloths on amazon can be found below.

Good morning!
Today I am going to tell you all about my session with Paisley Rose. This little angel was only 11 days new when she came to my studio for her session, but in the few weeks since her arrival the world is a better place!
I had a great time with Miss Paisley for her newborn session, even though at first she was ready to play not sleep! Just when I would think she was sound asleep she would have one eye open peeping at me. While I was editing her gallery I found myself smiling seeing some images of her with that one eye open, thinking back to how cute and funny it was during her session. She did quite a bit of smiling and smirking throughout her session too and it was just too sweet! So much personality already. We got some seriously amazing photos for her session! It certainly helps that Paisley is such a photogenic little lady!

Trying something different with this blog today.
But first let me tell you about our session. I am still on cloud nine from one of the most amazing sessions I've had. The adorable little lady in front of the lens is the daughter of Abbey & Riley. Speaking of which, her parents have been so much fun to get to know.
As for baby Avery, she was a little angel and slept so peacefully for most of the session. Once the heat kicked in she was out and I loved getting to work with every ounce of squishy adorableness!!!
From getting to know Abbey, I know she is and will be such a great parent. Being a mommy was made for her! And hearing her talk about what a wonderful father Riley is, just melts a heart. So great to see such a beautiful loving family grow and I am honored to be able to document this special time in their life.

I am so thrilled to share this session tonight! As I went through the images to put on their gallery and for the blog I got so excited at how they turned out. Ashley and Eric are just so sweet and are so adorable. Couple that with a gorgeous day and how could they not be great?!
Before I show you the session, I want to first tell you about meeting Ashley and Eric. We met up at Fort Steilacoom Park in Lakewood, WA on January 24th and Ashley was just glowing. Ashley suggested moving the session to this day because the weather was going to be amazing and boy was she right! It was beautiful. I knew we were in for a wonderful afternoon and a great session.
Ashley did a great job coordinating outfits for her and Eric. The colors were complemented by the golden sunset that afternoon. I loved the choices, some of my favorite colors for portraits!
Overall we had a really fun time together. I even laughed and smiled going over their images for their gallery thinking back to some funny moments. I know that Ashley and Eric are going to make the best parents.
And if you are wondering... ITS A BOY! Baby Jace will be making his arrival in March and I can't wait to meet the little guy. Until then, check out these gorgeous images from their session.

These stunning images on the blog today turned out so amazing. As I was editing these images for the gallery, I was just so thrilled with how they turned out. There were just so many good ones!!!
I had this stunning mama at my home studio located in JBLM, WA two weeks ago and Tiffany was just glowing. I knew we were in for some amazing images. Tiffany brought a few outfits of her own in addition to the studio gowns and accessories and she looked lovely in each of them.
As you can see from the images below, Tiffany was the perfect expecting mama and any photographer would be lucky to photographer her. That baby bump couldn't get any cuter!
